ESR (Erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is a non-specific indicator of inflammation of various origins (in a vertically set test tube).
In clinical practice, the definition of ESR is an affordable, easily accomplished method for assessing the patient’s condition and assessing the course of the disease when performing a test over time.
Main indications for use:
· preventive examinations (screening study)
· diseases with inflammatory processes - heart attack, tumors, infections, diseases of the connective tissue and many other diseases
